The Indian Book Club is an online reading community that brings together readers across India to discuss books, participate in reading challenges, and explore Indian and global literature through structured discussions. 


 The club operates on a monthly calendar. Each month includes two read-alongs, one Book of the Month, and one additional discussion. Members read selected books and join discussions held online via Google Meet, while daily interactions happen in the WhatsApp group. 


 The club usually meets four times a month, along with an additional session depending on the monthly calendar. Meetings are scheduled on weekends. 


The Indian Book Club is primarily an online book club. Discussions take place via Google Meet, and community conversations happen in the WhatsApp group. 


 You can join by following the instructions provided on the website in the Literary Circle. Once added to the WhatsApp group, you can access the calendar and participate in meetings. 


The club is open to readers of all ages and experience levels, including beginners, casual readers, and avid book lovers.


 Yes, beginners are welcome. You do not need prior experience or fast reading skills to participate in discussions. 


 The club discusses Indian and international books across genres including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and regional literature. 


Books are selected through a mix of member suggestions and admin-curated choices, ensuring variety and participation in the selection process. 


 While finishing the book is encouraged, members can still attend discussions and learn from others’ perspectives. 


 Yes, the club runs an annual reading challenge to help members stay consistent and motivated throughout the year. 


 The Young Readers program is a dedicated initiative designed for children and teenagers to build reading habits through guided discussions and age-appropriate books. 


 The program is open to children and teenagers within the specified age categories mentioned in the program details 


 Yes, parents are encouraged to support younger participants, especially for consistency and supervision depending on the child’s age. 


Yes, joining a book club helps readers stay consistent, discover new books, and engage in meaningful discussions within a supportive reading community.


We conduct meetings via Zoom or Google Meet. 


There are three ways to do so, Mailing List, Book Club Calendar, and WhatsApp. Once you’ve filled the Literary circle! form, we will keep you in the loop.
